Discover the region

An ideal situation

Around your accommodation at the foot of Mont Ventoux, many activities are available to you. The village of Malaucène has a training stadium, a sports course, etc.

On Wednesdays, the town of Malaucène organizes a disguised night guided tour, to discover the town from another angle! Before or after your exploration of Malaucène, enjoy the tavern, or the restaurants surrounding your gîte: pizza, hamburgers, etc., you will be able to satisfy all your desires!

Walking tours

From your accommodation, set off on an exotic walking tour. Choose the Lavandes circuit: Sault, Montbrun and Buis-les-Baronnies. The opportunity to appreciate all the beauty of the region's flowery landscape! We can also recommend the Oliviers circuit, which passes through Nyons and Vinsobres. Finally, for lovers of hiking or cycling, set out to conquer Mont Ventoux! On 3 slopes, let yourself be charmed by the magnificent panoramas!

The Source of Groseau

Not far from your cottage is the Groseau source, a true oasis in the region. Meet at the exit of Malaucène, on the road which leads to Ventoux. In the past, the source would supply Vaison-la-Romaine via an aqueduct. It is an ideal place to take a relaxing stroll, or spend a refreshing moment when the sunny days arrive in Provence. The Groseau site is an ideal place for a climbing session, against its cliffs! You can also eat there and admire the fountain and the wash house!

Typical villages

Among the essential villages to visit in Provence is Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. A true natural setting, you will spend a timeless moment there admiring its spring, its authentic town center, and its artisan shops. Gordes will welcome you on its promontory, and immerse you in history when you walk through its 11th century village. Roussillon will remain in your memory, with its magnificent colors and its exceptional ocher deposit.

Further afield, you can attend the festivals of Vaison-la-Romaine and Avignon, or stroll the authentic streets of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

The Serene Mountain

The 1437 meters of altitude of Mont Serein await you! This resort, established since the 1930s, is ideal for skiing and many other winter sports. Only 16 km from your accommodation at the Bel Air gîte village, it is a superb opportunity to introduce yourself to thrills, tobogganing, tree climbing, or to organize hikes on the resort's trails, in summer and winter.

Provençal markets

All around your vacation spot, you can find many Provençal markets. That of Malaucène is held every Wednesday. Producers and artisans are waiting for you! In Vaison-la-Romaine, you can stroll between the market stalls on Tuesday and Sunday morning. In Carpentras, the greengrocers market is held every day, and the Truffle market and the large fairground market take place on Fridays.
